Collective Action Day is Thursday, October 25. We've got a full kit of resources to help you promote your event and the California Thursdays program to local media and your community. The kit includes:
Talking Points. Share these talking points with local elected officials, school administrators, and any staff member who may be addressing a group or speaking to local media. Talking points include details on the California Thursdays® program, Collective Action Day, and the benefits of participating in the California Thursdays Network. View Talking Points (pdf)
Media Alert Template. Media alerts inform local media about the opportunity to cover your event. You or your district’s communication contact can send alerts up to 48 hours prior to the event. Fill in the details about your district in the alert provided. The file will begin downloading immediately to your computer. Download Media Alert (Microsoft Word Doc)
Press Release Template. Plan for you or your district’s communications contact to send a press release to local media the morning of the event, October 25. Fill in the details about your district in the release we provide. The file will begin downloading immediately to your computer. Download Press Release (Microsoft Word Doc)
