So proud of you!Awesome work with recipes Sonoma Valley! That's so amazing, Go Georgia!AWESOME!!What impact have the new waivers had on participation in your school or district? How do participation rates compare to pre-COVID numbers? Are you serving more meals, less meals, or about the same numbers as you did this summer? Will this continuing resolution expand P-EBT to pre-k enrolled in CACFP?Great news!Great Yay!we are serving many many many more meals after the waiver- same numbers as in spring-CACFP - reimbursed under NSLP?What is meant by CACFP At Risk Attendance Required when students are not attending school?Folks' FRPM eligibility has changed alot since Spring. let's continue to promote FRPM applications so our families will be eligible for P-EBTre: CACFP At-Risk Production Records not required-- is this CA only or national? No Kid Hungry has compiled ideas and links for six weeks of virtual activities that kids can complete at home to satisfy CACFP At-risk enrichment. The format is intended to support documentation for your state agency to demonstrate that an activity was offered for each date that meals were served and claimed.CDE wants an answer!! What are we doing to promote program integrity! Can the after-school snacks be claimed under the school meals program? Will that suffice?Building on Mickinzie’s question - if you’re okay with us sharing the info publicly and with policymakers, please let us know how the USDA meal waivers have affected your programs by sharing your weekly meal counts for all programs before and after the waivers.CDE can provide a solution!!! I'm feeding children. What strategies you are using to help encourage families to return meal applications? Please share! Can we serve after school snacks & get reimbursed with SSOHI, new director here- please define LCFFWhat do we do about Verification? We are taking note of all the questions in the chat box and will address them at the end!RE: Meal app strategies we implemented the same strategies we do annually. During our "Data Confirmation" which is enrollment, personal phone calls, emails and working with various departments for outreach.Hi Rebecca — if you are not in CA it doesn’t apply. In CA, LCFF is the local control funding formula.CDE is asking specifically what measures are being taken to ensure no duplicate meals. What are other districts doing? CDE wants a specific plan, i.e. punch cards, tracking names. Any other ideas? Our Transportation Department is now accepting our F/RP eligibility letter as proof of need, to offer free/reduced bus passesWe (Napa) have been told that our CBEDS is due on 10/7. Can someone speak to this?Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is how California Districts are funded.Amy-CBEDS/Calpads extending CBEDS to January Fall censusThank you all for your feedback! It was instrumental in making this win happen. My state agency is not recommending verification at this time so as not to confuse families!FoodCorps Election Day Resources: [link]Sara thank you for sharing that. What state are you in?Is it a 'should' or a 'shall' in California for Staff COVID-19 Testing? My Nutrition Dept. has exhausted all avenues for marketing the importance of application. I've now tapped the district to market the importance and how it affects other funding aspects within the district. Are students back on campus in your district? We’d love to know if you are serving meals indoors vs. outdoors, and if students are visiting the cafeteria.Learning hubs in our district and students eating in the classroom.Amy - CBEDS/LCFF has been pushed back to Dec/JanHere at Ferguson-Florissant in MO, we’re virtual at present, sending out meal kitsHeads up that my department had to pay $183,000 for partitions during meals ... it is an allowable cost :-(We have a hub that is set up actually outdoors and others are pods with 8 students physically distanced in classroomsRight now 150 students in learning hubsWe have been back in school since August 10 We are serving meals everywhere. Most students come through the line with their "cohort" - some eat in café, some in classrooms, some outside, some in the gym and some in the library. We moved a few tables to hallways at the largest schools. We are collecting Household Income Forms and it was super slow in the beginning but we have reached out to the Office managers and teachers and they are contacting parents. The results skyrocketed just overnight. I would start with a target list of last years Free and Reduced qualified families. The program integrity info will be available to all even if we are not Lunch assist pro?Hi Rebecca - Yes! We will send out our sample Parent Meal Pick Up Policy which includes program integrity language for preventing duplicate meals :)Hybrid opens Oct 15 for us. 2 days a week, 3 cohorts (third cohort are for parents who elect not to return at all) on campus Mon/Tue and Thurs/Friday. Wed is deep clean day and distance learning for students. We will offer both meals on campus and continue curbside, neighborhood deliveries and doorstop. Every school has a different on campus meal operation. This will go out in the call notes and be posted to our websiteLanyards are another option for mask storage when not being wornWow - Jessica that is a lot!
